Cory Environmental Trust in Thurrock

In 1997 Cory Environmental, the waste management company responsible for operating the Mucking Landfill Site in Thurrock, decided to form a partnership with the local authority and establish an independent environmental trust, the Cory Environmental Trust in Thurrock. The Trust was the first of 13 such Environmental Bodies (EBs) that Cory Environmental went on to establish in areas where it operates landfill sites. The landfill site is now close, and trust released a legacy report, detailed all the initiatives the trust was involved in. Read more

AER Lingus is to move to George Best Belfast City Airport

AER Lingus is to move to George Best Belfast City Airport in the autumn after five years at Belfast International. Following a tender process involving both airports the decision has been taken to base two aircraft at the city airport during the winter and three during the summer. A new-look winter schedule for 2012 targets two key routes for business, leisure and transfer traffic, in and out of London Heathrow and London Gatwick. There will be three flights daily to each airport in each direction. Read more
